30/07/07 - TBSP anounces a new function available on the this website. TB Patient Talk is an online forum run and moderated by the International Council of Nurses. The forum exists to provide a place for people who have, or have had TB/MDR-TB in the past, to communicate with each other. .
People can discuss their own personal experiences of the disease, whether it relates to TB treatment issues, social and workplace support, changes in the community, other people's reactions to them after TB diagnosis, or their fears of isolation. Indeed this forum is a place to exhange any ideas or debate if they are TB related.
TB Patient Talk is very easy to use. Simply go to the left hand menu column and click on 'TB Patient Talk'. There users need to register before using the facility, it is very easy and fast to do. Once logged in people can either comment on existing topic postings, or start new topic postings of their own. TB Patient Talk is an excellent tool.
